A "Normal" Diet

The maths simply just does not work:
The body can only deal with 1 teaspoon of sugar (equivalent to about 4g) at a time. Any excess gets turned into fat.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends no more than 6 teaspoons of sugar a day.
The current Australian dietary guidelines recommend that 45-60% of our daily energy requirements are carbs. This is the equivalent of 250g carbs per day, which become glucose in our blood. That is more than 60 spoonfuls of sugar a day!
How can this make any sense?!!
No wonder the rates of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular and other chronic diseases just keep climbing!
This is why following a low carb diet makes sense - it's not rocket science!
